Each season I like to add a few staple items to my wardrobe. I'd describe my style as classic - I like to wear timeless pieces which can be mixed and matched and work with every season. I tend to stay away from trends, and instead have a small but select capsule wardrobe of good quality style staples. Investing in a selection of the essentials allows for a lot of versatility - it will never go out of fashion and you can create an outfit to suit any occasion. These are some of my newer pieces which are my current go-to style staples...
Cashmere Scarf:
I can't resist a little bit of cashmere, especially when it comes to scarves. I love the grey colour combination of this one and it looks equally chic whether it's draped over the shoulders or wrapped around the neck.
Suede Chelsea Boots: Every woman needs a good pair of chelsea boots. These ones are quick to sell out on the site, but I kept checking back and eventually bagged myself a pair. They're super comfortable and the lighter shade of suede means they're ideal for transitioning into spring.
Cat Eye Sunglasses: I do love a cat eye when it comes to sunglasses, there's something very retro and chic about the shape, and paired with the tortoiseshell colouring, I just couldn't resist. Although these were a bargain from
TK Maxx, there are more Oscar de la Renta designs to be found at Selfridges.
White Blouse: A good white blouse is hard to come across - I don't like them to be too structured, nor too sheer. This blouse has a beautiful loose drape to it, which makes it very elegant and timeless. It's one of those pieces which can be worn with anything, and dressed up or down. I'm tempted to buy it in a few more colour options.
Olivia Burton Watch: I adore
Olivia Burton watches, their designs are understated and chic, and they look good paired with any outfit. This is my third - a simple yet beautiful watch, featuring a gold mesh strap with a pin buckle fastening which makes it that little bit different.
