Quick Mummy Makeup

Makeup has become somewhat of a luxury now that I'm a mother. Most of my days are spent barefaced, but when I want a little pick-me-up, it feels good to spend five minutes putting some makeup on. Henry enjoys it too - he sits on my knee and has a good rummage through my makeup bag, taking the lids off my lipsticks and patting my brushes on his face.

For giving radiance, I adore Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Basefollowed by my saving grace, L'Oreal True Match FoundationThe two combined give effortless, natural coverage with a dewy finish. To conceal those dark circles, I've been using Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer with a touch of Benefit Erase Paste in the corner to lighten and brighten. If my skin is looking a little lack lustre, I always turn to The Body Shop Baked-To-Last Bronzerwhich gives a soft glow to the skin. I love Benefit Posietint for giving a pretty flush of the most delicate pink to the cheeks, and if I'm feeling really fancy, I'll curl my lashes with my Tweezerman Procurl Eyelash Curlers, which instantly open up the eyes, and add a coat of Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme MascaraTo finish the look, I add a gentle wash of colour to the lips with Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Demure - my new favourite lip product. The balmy formulation keeps lips hydrated and leaves a semi-gloss finish.

To hold all my essentials, I use my beautiful rosebud pink leather pouch from The Handpicked Collection. Officially described as a mini iPad envelope, I can see myself using this in all sorts of ways - makeup bag, clutch, official family passport holder - the possibilities are endless!
